Spray Cans & Painting

Your equipment, paint tools and supplies.

Graffiti Bombing aims to create a realistic graffiti experience, by offering you the writer tools that you’d expect to be creating art with. Note that all tools are still undergoing improvements and we’ll be adding new tools and features to your urban weaponry arsenal in the future.

Spray Cans

  • Spray cans are grabbed like other interactable objects.
  • The cans have lids which you have to remove before use.
  • There are two grab positions, standard pickup and spray position.
  • When you put the spray lid back on the can changes its grab position.
  • Using a spray can is the controller trigger, note that it’s pressure sensitive.
  • UI pointer displays if hovering Actions Assistant when holding a spray can.
  • Spray cans have a radial menu, various settings and quick color panels.
  • Hover the items on the radial menu, to see what each one does.
  • Quick color panels offer options for color selection and paint settings.

Paint Roller (experimental)

  • The paint roller is grabbed like other interactable objects.
  • Make sure the roller is touching the surface you intend to paint onto.
  • You can only paint on the same surfaces as the spray can.
  • Using a paint roller is the controller trigger, it is not pressure sensitive.
  • UI pointer displays if hovering Actions Assistant when holding a paint roller.
  • Paint roller has a radial menu and quick color panels.
  • Hover the items on the radial menu, to see what each one does.
  • Quick color panels offer options for color selection only.

Outlines Clipboard

  • The Outlines Clipboard is grabbed like other interactable objects.
  • It can be used to show outline / graffiti images in-game, when getting up.
  • Has a radial menu that can be used for rotating images and locking the position on the clipboard in mid-air, useful for positioning as a reference.
  • Put valid images (PNG / JPG) in your Windows folder for ‘Pictures’, path similar to `\[Username]\Pictures\GraffitiBombing-Outlines\`.
  • Folder ‘GraffitiBombing-Outlines’ will get created by the game once you open your Actions Assistant and try to import outlines.
  • On your Actions Assistant see the ‘Import Outlines’ menu option, which should show any images that have been put in the correct folder location.
  • Hovering the menu on an image displayed in the Import Outlines section of the Actions Assistant, offers an option to send the image to clipboard.

Outlines Torch Projector (experimental)

  • Only available with the All City Edition DLC.
  • The Outlines Torch Projector is grabbed like other interactable objects.
  • Activated to project by using the controller trigger, you should see a particle effect, as well as the image projected on the surface / wall when it is correctly turned on.
  • Used to project outline / graffiti images onto paint surface areas / walls.
  • Which can then be used for outlining graffiti, making it easier to get up.
  • Has a radial menu that can be used for controlling the various settings of the image that is being projected, and also to remember / set / lock the position of the projector.
  • Put valid images (PNG / JPG) in your Windows folder for ‘Pictures’, path similar to `\[Username]\Pictures\GraffitiBombing-Outlines\`.
  • Folder ‘GraffitiBombing-Outlines’ will get created by the game once you open your Actions Assistant and try to import outlines.
  • On your Actions Assistant see the ‘Import Outlines’ menu option, which should show any images that have been put in the correct folder location.
  • Hovering the menu on an image gives you an option to send the image to the projector.

Important note: do not put huge file size images in the ‘Import Outlines’ folder ‘GraffitiBombing-Outlines’, it will impact game performance in a big way. You should use smaller sized images, less than 1MB in size.
